Background

I'm Helen Clackson, an HCPC-registered Dietitian and the founder of Adjuvie Nutrition.  I have 20 years experience as a dietitian and have worked in several large NHS teaching hospitals covering a range of clinical areas, including 15 years experience working as a Kidney Dietitian.

I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics from King’s College London in 2006 and am registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA).

Throughout my career I have also developed my expertise in Behaviour Change and integral to this is my compassionate and understanding approach, which is a core principle at Adjuvie Nutrition.

I have a broad range of clinical experience and have also worked in NHS Clinical Networks  across a range of clinical specialities including in Programme Management and Transformation roles.

This has included working as Clinical Network Manager for a regional Gastroenterology Clinical Network and managing projects to improve clinical pathways in a regional Gynaecology Clinical Network.

My combined experience of working with people who may be living with diabetes, kidney disease, or weight related health condition and working in the Gastroenterology and Gynaecology clinical networks has led to my interest across all of these areas and using a whole centred approach, as many people experience these related conditions and at different life stages.  My particular interest is aimed at increasing support as an early intervention to delay or prevent conditions developing or worsening.

With an increasing volume of conflicting and confusing mainstream nutrition advice Adjuvie Nutrition has been established to provide and improve access to accurate and reliable nutrition advice.  We follow a structured approach to promote optimal metabolic health - allowing people to feel empowered with the nutritional knowledge that will help them nourish and thrive.
